Aloha, my name is Matías Solario, but everyone knows me as Solario.
As an independent illustrator in Waikīkī, my work blends tropical surroundings and 20th-century design. I specialize in physically and digitally recreating old style printing techniques, honoring Hawai’i’s architectural heritage and celebrating the cultural, natural, and historical aspects of island life. Through my art, I hope to transport viewers to a sun-drenched Hawai’i of days gone by.
